Google Affiliate Network Looks Like Commission Junction But Simpler
- 2 Comment
As you all knew, Google has announced that their Referral program available within your Adsense account for a long time will be retiring in the coming month, August 2008. This change has led to a new program based on Performics that Google has acquired last year.
To replace its referral program, Google has just launched Google Affiliate Network that allow advertisers promote their products and services through Google publisher network. That does not mean that all Adsense publishers are eligible to participate or transferred to this program like other Google services as usual. You have to apply for this program as new member and waiting for review and approval.
After approval by Google (3 days waiting), I have had a quick look at the Google Affiliate Program and found out that this programs looks quite similar to Commission Junction and other affiliate network that need to join any advertiser program and wait for their approval manually or automatically. But, it is simpler than the CJ as we do not need to read TOS of every advertiser.
Further, there are not a lot of advertisers now available in the Google Affiliate Network. I have tried to explore other advertisers that I am interested in but they are not now with this network.
Good luck to you all and hope to see more features and improvements from Google.
